Why Ortigas Is the Right Base for a Culture Trip

For the August 31 long weekend , spend a morning at the Ayala Museum in Makati, accessible via the MRT Ayala Station. Its diorama galleries cover different periods of Philippine history, while its pre-colonial gold collection offers another look at the country's past. You can spend the afternoon walking around Greenbelt before heading back to Ortigas.

Prefer to stay closer to the east? The Lopez Memorial Museum in Pasig has Filipiniana collections, old maps, and archival materials. It is quieter than some of the city's larger museums and a good option if you prefer a slower, more in-depth visit.

National Bookstore at SM Megamall is only an eight-minute walk from The Exchange Regency. They often feature Filipino authors and books during August, making it an easy stop between activities. Kids can also choose a book to bring home.
